NOVEMBER 2023
A NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL EGAN
Principal Bill Egan NCHS

Dear NCHS Family,

It's hard to believe how quickly the school year's first quarter has flown by, with the second quarter beginning on November 3. Grades are available for viewing in PowerSchool by the end of the day on November 13. Please note that comments are only required for students who receive a grade under 80. We encourage parents to reach out to teachers if they would like detailed feedback in a class.

New Canaan High School's theater recently wrapped up its first production of the year, “All in the Timing,” and is preparing to hit the stage with the fall musical production of "Mean Girls" on November 16th to 18th. This Broadway sensation, adapted from the popular 2004 film, promises to be another extraordinary addition to the school's theatrical collection. November 18th also opens the Fall Art Show in the Main Lobby.  Stop by before the performance to view all of the talented student artwork.

Our NC Rams' successful fall sports season is well underway and is a testament to the student-athletes' hard work (on and off the field), talent, and commitment. The lessons learned, the friendships strengthened, and the memories created on the fields and courts will last a lifetime. Thank you to the parents and families for the endless cheering and support. I look forward to seeing you at many more school-wide events.

All the best,

Bill Egan, Principal

Save the Date: Post Prom 2024!!!
Friday, May 17 | 11:59 PM

The NCHS PFA is happy to continue the tradition of giving our seniors a safe and fun venue in which to keep celebrating after Prom. The Post Prom party held at Waveny House is an enormous undertaking. We will host over 400 students from midnight until 4 AM. There will be food, games, entertainment, music and prizes. Everything is geared toward keeping our students safe on Prom Night. And every year the theme is a surprise!

Post Prom Co-Chairs Katrina Parkhill and Lydia Kremer need your help to create a night of incredible memories for our seniors. Help us make this a special evening for our seniors who missed out on their last significant milestone - 8th grade celebration.

We are making it easy to get started! Just follow the Post Prom Parent Checklist for 12th grade families:

  1. Please make a Post Prom donation of $175 to fund our budget.

  2. Be a parent volunteer! It takes a village to put on this party!

  3. Email photos for the Post Prom video

  4. Save the date for Ram Jam 2024: Friday, March 22.
